The feud. Kimberley Chambers
For more than a decade, two East End families have been locked in a bitter war.
On one side are the Mitchells, a notorious underworld mob from East London’s Canning Town. They have an iron in every fire and will resort to intimidation and violence to get what they want.
On the other side are the O’Haras. The Mitchells’ biggest rivals are a travelling family who live in nearby Stratford. They compete with the Mitchells for pub protection, and the two families hate each other.
Caught between these two families at war are two innocent children, who will grow up to love the wrong people and spark the last terrible act in the long-running feud.
This is my first book by this author and I can honestly say it won't be my last either. This is the first book that made me go oh that bit was good. It's a book that keeps you guessing and keeps you gripped alway I'm only half way throu and I can't wait to get back to it. I'm afraid that I won't get any cleaning or cooking done as I so engrossed in the book that I have to force myself to put it down.
I'm loving jess and how she adores her kids and how blind she is to ed's work and how he brings his money into the home.
But when the o'haras buy a house near ed and jess the one ed wanted to buy but couldn't ed isn't happy about it one bit but then at a party ed's oldest kids from his previous relationships have a sparing match in the boxing ring against o'haras kids and ed's oldest kids wins they decide to put the youngest sons against each other and joey ends up in hospital is it all over between ed and jess....
Jess gives ed a choose to cheap of the whisky or she will leave him. And ed agrees to it as he would do anything for jess.
But then when the worse thing to happens ed he goes the wrong way about it and he has to life with the consequences. He thought he had won the feud but he's now got to life with what he's done.
But if he found out who murdered his dad all hell would breakout and he wouldn't be wanting to be stuck not to get his revenge on the murderer. But because he did something he regrets he will never find out now and he has lost joey and frankie in the process I mean who would want a dad like ed.
For me this book is one that is a real page turner and is the first in the series of the o''harass and Mitchell and I'm glad to say I've got the next two in series. And if they are anything like the first then I think Kimberley chambers has a new fan it's 5 πππππ from me.
